Annabel McConnachie is an Australian actor, writer, New School BFA (Honors) graduate and gleek currently based in New York City.
Wise beyond her years, Annabel made her professional debut at the age of 3 as the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera at Australia’s internationally acclaimed hub of the arts, the Sydney Opera House (her performance inspiring its name). She then went on to take the city by storm in roles that include but are not limited to - the landlord in Rent, the titular number 13 in 13 the musical and the canine antagonist in Cats (‘Dog’). For her roles in these critical and financial successes, Annabel then went on to earn herself 8 Ausony awards (Australian Tonys).
Her most recent credits include; writing and starring in New York Theater Festival’s 2025 Best Production winner Archive of My Own at the Hudson Guild Theater, writing and starring in absurdist comedy Waiting For Gadot at the 2026 Chain Theatre Winter One Act Fest, writing and taking on the titular role of Anne Boleyn in Anne & Her Executioner at RJ Theater Company’s Heretic Festival at the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, co-writing and starring as Tamara in The New School’s Main Stage production of Phantasmagoria, leading the premiere reading of Herta Müller’s Lowlands at the Theater for Truth Festival, and playing Paulina in A Winter’s Tale at the Flea Theater’s Circle Festival.
